- 6 May 2006 - Alexander and Morse Road

We started  out the morning by checking out the Heron rookery at the swamp on Alexander road.  We counted 18 Herons on the nest.  Then we were off to Morse Road.  It was a good day, the weather was partly sunny and in the low 60's.  Our total count for the day was 44 species including Starling, Northern Cardinal, Rock Pigeon, Goldfinch Blue Jay, Chimney Swift, House Sparrow, Red Winged Blackbird, House Finch, Mourning Dove, Chipping Sparrow, Tufted Titmouse, Song Sparrow, Yellow Warbler, Great Blue Heron, Robin, Chickadee, Red bellied Woodpecker, Tree Swallow, Canada Goose, Barn Swallow, Brown headed Cowbird, Grackle, White throated Sparrow, Common yellowthroat, Warbling Vireo, Northern Flicker, Baltimore Oriole, White breasted Nuthatch, Black & White Warbler, Northern Parula, Downy Woodpecker, Swamp Sparrow, Mallard, Wood duck, Eastern Kingbird, Nashville warbler, Scarlet Tanager, Belted Kingfisher, Ruby throated Hummingbird, Ovenbird, Eastern Phoebe, Eastern Towhee, American Crow.
